Pre-Claim Examinations

When a client is admitted to a hospital or long-term care facility and is still in the hospital or was discharged within the previous 3 days and no application for benefits has yet been made, a Pre-Claim Assessment is completed to assist with determining if the individual requires certain benefits - limited to home renovations, attendant care, and assistive devices. The assessment report is not used for determination of entitlement to other benefits (i.e., disability, care giving, non-earner).
